
1) your boat drivers are absolutely amazing. The way they maneuver those long awkward boats with people jiggling about in them is astonishing.
2) the food is fabulous. We feel well nourished and amazingly comfortable.
3) the "bed net fairies" are tremendous. The rooms are always clean and wonderful.
4) our guides (Sim'on and Sebastian) were so incredible that I have no words to describe what wonders they created.
In short, cudos to you all. What a wonderful, wonderful experience. Also, we were so happy to see Ruben again and thank you for keeping us up to date on the health of his son.

We look for enthusiastic and committed people to contribute in our volunteer opportunities. Working in different areas at the lodge and the main offices in Quito and Shell. There are a variety of positions and projects available. We will provide orientation, support and some training depending on the project. We have the following volunteer programs: English program: To be able to help the Achuar people training in English the Achuar people along with Foundation Pachamama and CEKSA, have implemented a high quality English programme, which began in Kapawi community and Kapawi Eco-lodge in November 2005. The lodge is particularly special as in January of 2008; complete ownership of the enterprise was given to the Achuar community. However, as is well known, a working knowledge of English is absolutely necessary in all areas of tourism. Communication specialist: Based in Quito, will work with the marketing manager. General Assistants: Based in Quito and the Lodge to assit in different areas related to maintenance, interpretation, housekeeping, bar, kitchen, administration.
